Erica Joe met and fell in love over email, but knew these were the perfect match from the beginning! We're enthusiastic about this couple, and that we are lovin' the bridesmaid style, too!
How have you two met?
Joe and I reached know one another by phone/email for 6 months before meeting personally and following the first date, we have been together since.
Details around the proposal!
The special day happened on February 28, 2015, at The Ritz Carlton much less far from your apartment in Downtown Dallas. Joe planned a "special getaway" where he simply explained to pack mainly because we had lots of activities planned, and also to get ready for a long drive. The long drive became two blocks whenever we pulled up towards the Ritz. I gave Joe a puzzled look and asked if we were going to have brunch in the hotel restaurant before striking the road and that he then explained we had arrived at the destination.
After checking in, we'd our bags raised to our suite and Joe had room service mention lunch for all of us to eat. Shortly after settling into our room, we headed towards the spa where I was treated to some long relaxing couples massage. After the spa, we went back towards the room to unwind for a while before going to dinner. About an hour before I was to head to dinner at Fearing's (the most popular Dallas restaurant and located within the hotel) Joe was built with a bottle of Champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries brought up towards the room.
The time for all of us to head to dinner was around the corner and I couldn’t choose what to wear. I tried on two different dresses and Joe explained he liked the 2nd dress better. Then, he explained that there was still being something drastically missing. I offered myself a puzzled look after which I realized I had forgotten to use my bracelet. After putting around the bracelet and earrings, I believed Joe, "How about now? Does this look better?" Joe said, "No, something is certainly still not right. There's something still missing". I knew I had nothing left to put on, so I shrugged after which, Joe said, "In fact, I think I'm going to need to get on my knee to assist this situation out." At that point, Joe walked as much as me and dropped to his knee, reached into his coat pocket, and brought out the ring. He held it in my experience and inquired if I will make him the happiest guy alive and become his wife. I said yes! After spending a while taking in as soon as and holding one another, we headed down to some wonderful dinner at Fearing's to assist celebrate the special occasion.
Location, location, location! How have you chosen your venue? What type of venue had you been looking for?
We knew we wanted a proper wedding, therefore we looked for hotels within the Dallas area that were gorgeous and would set the atmosphere. We wanted our on vacation guests to feel like part of Dallas where we met, therefore we chose The Adolphus, a historic hotel in Downtown Dallas, to possess our wedding. We knew from as soon as walking into the Grand Ballroom it was the venue for all of us to have our wedding. If we'd have gone having a destination wedding, it might have experienced France, consider we desired to make it easier for the guests to make it to the wedding, we chose Dallas and The Adolphus includes a French-inspired belief that was perfect for all of us.
Who designed your beautiful gown? Where have you got it?
feeltimes designed my ceremony gown and my reception gown. I went for any traditional white ceremony gown along with a blush reception gown to bop the night away in.
Describe the marriage. The look, theme, style, colors, etc.
I'm deeply in love with white and soft colors, therefore we went with an exciting white floral design with hints of blush tones. Our theme was elegance, romance, and glamour. We had gorgeous chandeliers hanging in the heavenly painted ceiling, gorgeous flowers all through the venue, and crystals hanging from your centerpieces to provide the glamour.
Candles graced the area everywhere to provide a romantic feeling. We had our band playing lovely music throughout the dinner to provide elegance while mingling and eating, and then, the party started. The entrance to my second gown was carrying out a second line. Since I am from Louisiana and Joe and I visit New Orleans together, we decided to provide our guests a little bit of Louisiana culture using a second line that got everyone on their feet. Everything ended up being to be super gorgeous, yet attractive and warm.
Tell us about your bridesmaid's dresses!
I brought my Mom and something of my bridesmaids beside me to model the various dresses I chose, but I saved the very best for last. I knew the FeelTimes dress that I chose was the gown of my dreams to possess alongside me around the wedding day. The dress was perfect so when my bridesmaid asked if I could be looking elsewhere, I said, "No way. I've found my bridesmaid dress, which is the type of dress I've always desired to wear inside a wedding".
The dusty rose bridesmaid dresses are soft and stylish and having the beautiful tulle hanging from the shoulders is beautiful. I had girls wear their hair as much as show off from the romantic dress and dangling earrings that I got all of them as gifts. This is a bridesmaid dress that may be worn to a different wedding or any formal event again. It will not be stuck within the closet!
Any most important items, must-dos, or can’t live without? Anything you would do differently?
My most important items were plenty of flowers, white décor with minimal color, and accents of blush only throughout the area. I couldn't live without an excellent sparkly gown, and I chose two gowns to possess the best of all possible worlds to go with my wedding colors. If I could do anything whatsoever differently, it might be very little. We had the very best day of our way of life and I know I'll always remember it.
Favorite memory in the day!
My favorite memory from the marriage day was seeing Joe for the very first time. I am excited to determine him the entire day, and when I caught my first glimpse of him walking on the aisle, I knew I could be happy forever.
